    • Domaine Barreau, the excellence of Gaillac wines since 1865

Lovers of good wine, connoisseurs or those curious to taste one of the region's wine gems, head to Domaine Barreau and let yourself be transported by the unique world of Gaillac wines. It is in Boissel, just 4km from Gaillac and 15km from the medieval town of Cordes-sur-Ciel, that a passionate family welcomes you, happy to help you discover the riches of its terroir.

A vineyard passed down from generation to generation

The love of wine is at the heart of this family business spread over nearly 50 hectares. Located on the first slopes of the Gaillac appellation, the vines are precious treasures that the Barreau family has passed down for 6 generations, perpetuating traditional know-how combined with modern techniques. The different plots of land with clay-limestone soil are ideal for cultivating 11 grape varieties with passion and producing great wines recognized for their quality at various competitions such as the Paris Agricultural Competition, the Hachette Guide, the Southwest Wine Competition and the Gaillac Wine Competition. Regularly rewarded for the elegance of its wines, Domaine Barreau received 8 medals in 2025 for its gourmet and fruity wines:

      • Gaillac dry white Augustin 2024
      • Gaillac red Augustin 2023
      • Gaillac rosé Augustin 2024
      • Gaillac doux Augustin 2023
      • Gaillac dry white les Braisiers 2024
      • Gaillac raw ancestral method
      • Gaillac Sweet Autumn Caprice 2022
      • Gaillac red the ancestor 2019

Domaine Barreau, labeled wines in Gaillac

More than a pleasure to share, a bottle of wine is the expression of nature and the terroir that enhances each particularity of the grape varieties. Since 1865, the Barreau family has taken extreme care in managing the vines to preserve the environment, pampering the future grapes with meticulousness and passion to obtain high-quality wines. The Domaine is also labeled HVE level 3 (High Environmental Value) for its preservation of biodiversity and the management of its fertilization. Another guarantee of quality is its respect for the Independent Winegrower charter, a logo proudly affixed to each bottle which marks the commitment of Domaine Barreau to respect its terroir and the work of its vineyard.
