    • Our family vineyard is located in Montans, a small village with Gallo-Roman remains in the heart of the Gaillacois. Our exceptional terroir and our unique grape varieties allow us to offer a wide range of wines.

      Our vineyard :

Located 40 km north-east of Toulouse, the Gaillac appellation stretches along both banks of the Tarn and up to the Cordes plateau.

The climate of the vineyard benefits from two influences: the oceanic mildness and the Mediterranean heat which, in summer and autumn, accentuated by the autan wind, ensure a good maturity of the grapes.

The Domaine covers 100 hectares of vines, all on three geologically different terroirs: gravel, gravelly clay and gravelly limestone.

This richness of soil and terroir allows us to produce and vinify a large number of unique and characterful grape varieties: Braucol, Duras and Prunelart for the reds and Loin de L'œil, Mauzac and Muscadelle for the whites. All these grape varieties from our region give our wines their originality, elegance and strength.

Like our terroir and our grape varieties, our wines are complex and draw their strength from this diversity.

      Our Domain :

The Domaine Carcenac is now run by Nicole and her son Cédric Carcenac, a family history that goes back several generations.

Today, we are happy to be able to present you the work of all these years of tradition and know-how.

Our wines reflect our history and combine both typicity and modernity. We'd be delighted to show you around during a visit and tasting session at the estate.

The Domaine Carcenac welcomes you for organised evenings or for all your occasions:

      • Visits and tastings on the estate
      • Aperitif concerts, a few notes of music and a gourmet plate around a little wine
      • Farmers' aperitifs, visit of the vineyard and cellar and tasting of farm products and wines from the estate
      • Theme evenings
      • Oenology courses
      • Open days on the occasion of the Primeur
      • Weddings, birthdays, family celebrations...
      • Seminars

We offer a wide range of facilities and services to meet all your requirements thanks to our 350 m² reception room, with kitchen and terrace in the heart of the cellar.

Do not hesitate to contact us for any information and reservations.

We had a lovely time visiting this winery. The tasting room might have been closed but Leigha was wonderful and opened up to have a tasting for us. We got to learn more about the region and the process of making their wines. Leigha was especially wonderful, she spent time talking to us and helping us with a little French lesson, making us feel very welcome. Thank you!
