    • Millau Aventure, a memorable escape on the Tarn by canoe or paddleboard

Adrenaline, fun, the joy of the water, and good vibes perfectly combine to create unforgettable descents on the Tarn and Dourbie rivers offered by Millau Aventure in Aveyron. Located in the medieval village of Creissels on the riverbank, this multi-activity leisure center is ideal for discovering the beauty of the Tarn Valley and its stunning landscapes. Whether by canoe or paddleboard, with family or friends, grab your paddles for a truly immersive experience in the heart of Aveyron.

Canoe trips to suit all tastes

The water is an incredible playground, and the name is Tarn and Dourbie. Accessible from May to August, the canoe trips offered by Millau Aventure are wonderful descents that reveal the sublime landscapes of the Aveyron region. Whether you're a budding adventurer or a seasoned athlete, the choice is yours among the canoe routes:

      • The 8km route offers 2 to 3 hours of adventure amidst unspoiled landscapes and majestic cliffs. Paddle along the water to the Millau Viaduct and the troglodyte village of Peyre to enjoy exceptional views.
      • The 12km route takes you into the wild Dourbie valley between the dynamic waters of the river and its spectacular landscapes for 3 to 4 hours of adventure.
      • The 20km route is incredible! Start with the Dourbie Gorges and their lush natural surroundings before continuing along the Tarn River between the Larzac cliffs and the village of Peyre. In total, 5 hours of enjoyment await you on rivers with varying profiles.

Several types of boats are available from Creissels, including single canoes, double canoes, and family canoes with a child in the middle. After a briefing, with your equipment and paddle in hand, you'll be ready for a self-guided descent of the river. Return transport is by minibus at the end of the trip.

Some practical information to know before heading out on the river

While paddling skills aren't mandatory (you'll learn quickly once you're settled in your canoe), knowing how to swim is essential to fully enjoy this outdoor activity. You can even take a dip in the river during your canoe trip, and enjoy a picnic by the water before or after your return to a designated, shaded area. Accessible to children as young as 6, canoe trips on the Tarn or Dourbie rivers are memorable experiences to share with family or friends. The equipment included in the price ensures a safe excursion with helmets, life jackets, and windproof vests if needed, while waterproof containers allow you to carry swimming gear, a picnic, and your phone to capture photos of this wonderful day.
