The Eiffage Millau Viaduct Race, a not-to-be-missed event in Aveyron

Created in 2007, the Eiffage Millau Viaduct Race has become a significant event in the world of running. Each year, it attracts thousands of runners, whether competitors, regular runners or beginners. For everyone, the promise of a rare moment: crossing the legendary Millau Viaduct on foot... like suspended between heaven and earth! Running, jogging, getting together and having fun - that's what is all about.

The Eiffage Millau Viaduct Race in Aveyron, an unforgettable course

Every two years, the racers gather under the starting arch in the center of Millau. When the whistle blows, they set off in the direction of the record-breaking viaduct. The first few kilometers are flat, allowing the legs and cardio system to gradually warm up. And then the viaduct appears, majestic and all finesse... After a winding climb under the structure, the lucky runners join the freeway for a mythical
round trip over the Millau viaduct, 270 metres above the Tarn. With its 23.7 km, this route offers a feeling of freedom, particularly during the 4.9 km that constitutes the crossing of the Millau Viaduct. Experience the thrill of the world's highest bridge and run alongside some very special runners. Every year, SpongeBob SquarePants, Batman, Super Mario and other famous characters appear at the finish line.

A new format to celebrate 20 years of the Millau Viaduct

In 2024, to mark the 20th anniversary of the viaduct, a second route was created. Shorter, this new format allows as many people as possible to take part in the festivities.

On D-Day, part of the A75 freeway and the Millau Viaduct are exceptionally closed to traffic to allow runners to tread this record-breaking structure for one round trip. Another original feature of this unique race, which combines a sporting challenge with a festive, friendly atmosphere.
