    • Bruit en Cuisine, a traditional restaurant with market cuisine in the heart of Albi

You'll be amazed by this charming restaurant tucked away in an alley. Located at 22 rue de la Souque in the heart of this magnificent episcopal city in the Tarn region, Bruit en Cuisine is a must-visit, both for its delicious food and the spectacular view it offers of Sainte-Cécile Cathedral. With its market-fresh cuisine, attentive service, and unique location overlooking Albi, book your table now.

Note: the restaurant is open 7 days a week, lunch and dinner, all year round.

Traditional, homemade recipes that delight the palates

What a pleasure to savor such carefully crafted dishes! Evolving with the seasons, the menu offered for lunch and dinner is a succession of gourmet dishes prepared with market-fresh ingredients. Locally sourced whenever possible, and seasonal, the ingredients are true culinary gems, prepared with passion. Fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, flour, bread, eggs… the Tarn region takes center stage in traditional recipes such as duck crackling mousse with gherkin cream, grilled and seed-crusted leg of lamb, or ravioli with mushrooms, ricotta, buckwheat, forest cream, and shavings of Vieux Rodez cheese. Looking for something new? Occasionally, a touch of the Orient or other regional influences are woven into the recipes to surprise your palate. At lunch and dinner, a selection of wood-fired pizzas is also available, as well as a children's menu.

A prime location for admiring Sainte-Cécile Cathedral

More than just a meal, the Bruit en Cuisine restaurant invites you to experience an unforgettable moment in the heart of Albi. Upon arrival, a friendly team welcomes you into a charming, minimalist dining room with contemporary décor, a warm and inviting setting with wood accents. The large windows of the veranda, opening onto the outside, flood the room with natural light and offer a breathtaking view of the cathedral. In warmer weather, a spacious terrace ( one of the most beautiful in Albi ) provides a unique spot to savor market-fresh cuisine while admiring the largest painted cathedral in Europe. A final room awaits you upstairs: a second elegant and refined dining room featuring antique fireplaces.

We moved to Albi 8 months ago (Sept 25) and we have walked past and looked up at the terrace many times thinking it was part of a different restaurant. We went with friends who were visiting last night and we weren’t disappointed. Food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and the terrace is wonderful with a great view of the cathedral. The wine list was also very good. All round it was brilliant and fantastic value for money. We will definitely go back.
