On paper, this campsite has everything going for it, but unfortunately, it's run by people with no background in tourism. The pitches are indeed large and shaded, bordered by a small river perfect for dipping your toes. The sanitary facilities are functional and clean, even if the outdoor lights stop working after 9 pm. However, it's very difficult to feel comfortable there. The campsite staff, and especially the manager, sneer at you, threatening expulsion if the rules aren't followed. A dog on a leash in a campsite is perfectly normal, but there should be designated areas for dogs, and they shouldn't appropriate the riverbanks for hundreds of meters outside the campsite. Regarding the food, the prices displayed on the ice cream aren't always what you're actually charged, so be careful what you pay for your drinks and food. As for the river, the area opposite the mill should be closed off because the three remaining walls are at risk of collapsing. The price of the washing machines is exorbitant (€7 regardless of the weight, whether it's 5 or 12 kg). Don't expect to be able to unpack your dirty underwear in peace, as the staff are constantly hovering over you, and don't expect them to explain how it works, as they themselves have no idea. As for the manager, he doesn't hesitate to walk 200 meters to forbid two people, including a mother, from playing with a small ball in the pool. Also, be very precise about your departure time from the campervan, as the manager arrives at your pitch two minutes late and, in addition, drives around the entire campground every two hours in his golf cart, unnecessarily checking who knows what. Regarding the price of the stay and the services offered, it's more expensive than on the French Riviera in peak season... paying €60 a night for six people in a remote location with just a small pool is exorbitant... and I'm not even mentioning the electricity at €12 or €13 a night... it's completely unbelievable. I know this firsthand because I travel three months a year in a campervan and have also been a professional in the French camping industry for 10 years.

We spent two nights at this campsite on the banks of the Viaur, a river with abundant flora and fauna. A very pleasant stay thanks to the entire team who take excellent care of their guests.
