Lake Pareloup-dam Nature Reserves in Arvieu

Between Rodez and Millau, Lake Pareloup is located in the town of Arvieu. It is an artificial water reservoir, formed by an electric dam. It mainly collects the waters of the Vioulou and the Viaur, but also many other lakes and rivers in the Tarn region. This dam was built by EDF in the 1950s. From its height of 43 meters, this monument is worth a visit. It is accessible all year round and will allow you to better understand how dams work.

It is a natural site very popular with hikers. The lake culminates at 800 meters in height and offers you beautiful views of the surroundings. During the summer, it houses an aquatic leisure base, where you can rent kayaks or boats. There are also several beaches, a small marina and a tree climbing park, to make you happy with your family.
