    • Le Regina: the unmissable bistronomic stop in downtown Castres

In the heart of Castres' vibrant atmosphere, on the city's largest square, Le Regina stands out as an iconic address for gourmets seeking authenticity. This restaurant, renowned for its multilingual service (French, English, and Swedish), brilliantly blends the elegance of bistronomic cuisine with the conviviality of a neighborhood establishment. Its excellence has been recognized on several occasions by " Les Tours des Terroirs," an award that rewards culinary expertise over many years.

Whether you are just passing through to discover the treasures of the region's heritage or a regular visitor, the establishment promises a culinary experience punctuated by the freshness of the products and the creativity of the chef.

A menu blending French tradition and Swedish flavors

The Regina 's unique character lies in its bold culinary offering. Here, traditional French cuisine meets unusual Swedish specialties, providing a one-of-a-kind gastronomic journey in the Tarn region. For lunch, the restaurant also offers daily specials as set menus every day of the week.

The menu changes with the seasons : while composed salads and vegetarian options are popular during the warmer months, winter marks the return of the famous homemade soups, a true local institution for which customers don't hesitate to travel. To finish the meal, the chef's homemade desserts add a touch of artisanal sweetness, available à la carte or as part of set menus to suit all tastes.

The charm of a vintage setting and the largest terrace in Castres

Taking a seat at the Regina also means immersing yourself in a carefully curated visual atmosphere. The meticulously sourced vintage decor gives the dining room a strong and welcoming character. Outside, you can enjoy the largest terrace in Castres, a verdant and flower-filled space ideal for lunch in the sun or dinner under the stars.

Fully wheelchair accessible and welcoming to pets, the establishment also has an exceptional wine cellar, visible in the dining room, showcasing local wines and prestigious international bottles.

Bonus: Fancy a delicious break? The Regina welcomes you to its tea room at any time of day!

We were a family of five. The duck breast was exceptional, and the chicken breast and Caesar salad were very good. The service was friendly and efficient. The experience was a great one for us.
