    • The Pescadou Suite: the maritime institution gets a makeover in Castres

A true Castres institution, Le Pescadou has long been the go-to destination for seafood lovers in its historic form as a fish shop and tasting room. After a complete transformation, the establishment has reopened as La Suite du Pescadou. Located in the heart of the city, this iconic address has successfully combined its prestigious heritage with a touch of modernity.

Between a chic seaside atmosphere and Occitan conviviality, this restaurant becomes the preferred stop for gourmets in search of freshness and sharing, whether in the dining room or on its superb summer terrace.

Three atmospheres for an immersive experience

Stepping through the doors of La Suite du Pescadou is to discover a space redesigned to cater to every desire. The former fish shop has been transformed into an oyster bar, ideal for after-work drinks or a quick, briny tasting. The journey continues in the central room, dominated by a majestic wooden table sourced from the Montagne Noire : a welcoming space for conversation that can accommodate up to 20 guests in a convivial, communal atmosphere. Finally, the large reception room transports you to the Mediterranean coast with its elegant décor and lighting reminiscent of chic beach bars. This versatility makes the establishment the perfect venue for a romantic dinner or a memorable group meal.

A menu that blends land and sea: from classic dishes to signature creations

While the restaurant's reputation was built on the excellence of its seafood, the cuisine now offers a perfect balance between land and sea. The famous Parrillada, available in fish and shellfish versions or with the finest regional meats, remains the house specialty. Those who appreciate subtle flavors will be drawn to the sea bass tartare or the daring surf-and- turf combination of squid, chorizo, and potatoes.

Of course, the Pescadou 's DNA remains intact through its signature seafood platters, fragrant bouillabaisse, and generous royal paella, available to eat in or take away. A warm welcome and authentic cuisine make this "Suite" an unmissable gastronomic destination in the Tarn region.

A wonderful discovery! We were recommended by the hotel and we'll definitely be back! The food is delicious and the owner is very welcoming and friendly! Special compliments to the kitchen apprentice who was working solo for his first evening without the chef and who really did a great job 😉

Uninteresting food. Judging by the reviews, one might assume that in Castres, this is acceptable.
