The Castan family story is incredible, beginning in 1941 with Gilbert and his son Jacques traveling throughout the Tarn region, distilling local fruit with a mobile still. Driven by a desire to perpetuate these traditions and this unique expertise, Sébastien, the third generation of the family, took up the mantle and, together with his wife Céline, built a fruit and whisky distillery in 2007. The result? Delicious whiskies crafted with barley grown on the estate, exceptional vintages with fruity or peaty flavors, perfect as an aperitif or digestif.

Discover all the secrets of crafting this marvelous amber liquid that delights the palate! Throughout the year, and by reservation, Sébastien and his team offer guided tours lasting an hour and a half, followed by a tasting of five single malt whiskies. Whether with family, a loved one, or friends, experience a unique moment in a peaty atmosphere. Tours can accommodate up to 50 people, from curious newcomers to whisky enthusiasts. From grain cultivation and brewing to fermentation, distillation, aging, and bottling, you'll have the opportunity to understand every step of whisky production, each carried out on the estate. Masterclasses are also organized and led by Sébastien, the distiller, who will introduce you to his craft and exceptional blends during a fascinating two-hour session before an informative tasting. Join us amidst the casks and copper stills for a truly special experience.
