The Aveyron Gorges were formed between Bruniquel and Villefranche-de-Rouergue. For thousands of years, the Aveyron River has carved its way through the limestone of the valley, creating a unique landscape in the heart of the Causses. • Saint Antonin-Noble-Val, the heart of the Aveyron Gorges, is a village nestled among cliffs, offering unparalleled views of the river and its surrounding hills. A medieval town on the border of Quercy and Rouergue, wander its winding streets lined with historic houses like the Maison de l'Amour (House of Love) or the Maison du Roy (King's House), before browsing the local art and craft shops. From the Aveyron bridge, enjoy the view of the Promenade des Moines (Monks' Promenade ) and the river.
  

• Penne is a charming village that has retained its old-world atmosphere. Experience the spirit of the Middle Ages with its medieval fortress. Nicknamed the Eagle's Nest or the Citadel of Vertigo, gaze out over the Grésigne Forest and the Aveyron River. The villages of the Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne departments boast a rich cultural heritage for history enthusiasts.

• Bruniquel is a village with a rich heritage, boasting two castles perched atop the cliff. • The Aveyron cycle route is an 85 km journey, starting in Montauban and ending in Laguépie. Between fortified towns and rivers, enjoy a cycling getaway passing through charming villages like Bruniquel and Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. The subtly shaded green forest and limestone cliffs punctuate your ride along the river.
  
  

• A motorhome is a wonderful way to explore the Aveyron Gorges. Whether you're there for a week or over a month, the region is vast enough to keep you entertained. Numerous facilities are available between service areas and campsites, allowing you to stop in the village of your choice. Rentals are available in Rodez or Millau for a truly immersive road trip in the heart of nature.

• The petrifying waterfall of Caylus is a must-see if you're passing near Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. It's unique in that it's very rich in carbonate, coating any object submerged in its cascading water with limestone. A small parking area is available by the roadside near the village for easy access.

• There are many viewpoints in Tarn-et-Garonne to appreciate the landscapes of the Aveyron. The viewpoint on the Corniche road, 3 km from Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, is a real spectacle for the eyes, while the viewpoint at the Cirque de Bône, on the way back towards Caussade, offers a magnificent 180° view of the Aveyron Gorges.
