Aveyron Gorges Nature Reserves in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val

Useful information

Location : In the countryside

Province : Tarn & Garonne - Les causses du Quercy Garonne

  • English
    • The Aveyron Valley extends over three departments. The Gorges de l'Aveyron are accessible between Bruniquel, in the Tarn-et-Garonne, and Villefranche-de-Rouergue, in the Aveyron, via the Tarn.

It is a very popular site for holidaymakers for its many activities. During your hikes, you can admire breathtaking landscapes. The Aveyron river offers all kinds of aquatic and nautical sports: rafting, canyoning, or simple canoe trips... The impressive cliffs of the gorges are also a good opportunity to learn about climbing, via ferrata or caving.

The banks of the Aveyron are very well preserved, in a natural and sometimes wild setting. You can let the children play at the water's edge, while you enjoy a moment of relaxation, in the shade of the trees, or have very pleasant family picnics.

You will also visit very beautiful villages. Some are perched on the side of the cliff. Others are nestled in the green valleys around Aveyron. They are very picturesque and allow you to discover the traditional architecture of Tarn-et-Garonne, but also a small typical local heritage. The village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val is one of the must-sees. Just like the Château de la Bioule, which overlooks the river.
