The Gorges de l'Aveyron formed between Bruniquel and Villefranche-de-Rouergue. For thousands of years, the Aveyron river has carved its way through the limestone rock of the valley, creating a unique landscape in the heart of the Causses. Bordered by small charming villages, this region is a total change of scenery with its breathtaking views and its green nature.

  • Saint Antonin-Noble-Val, central point of the Gorges de l'Aveyron, is a village surrounded by cliffs, offering inimitable views of the river and its hills. A medieval city on the borders of Quercy and Rouergue, wander its winding streets surrounded by old residences such as the Maison de l'Amour or the Maison du Roy, before browsing in the region's art and craft shops. The verdant nature and hilly areas of this region of Quercy attract many tourists each year, who come to enjoy a unique setting in the Tarn-et-Garonne. Many possibilities are available to you to discover the Gorges de l'Aveyron as you see fit.


  • The Aveyron cycle route is an 85 km route, from Montauban to Laguépie. Between bastides and rivers, enjoy a getaway on pedals through small charming villages such as Bruniquel or Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. The nuanced green forest and limestone cliffs punctuate your walk along the river.

  • The motorhome is a great way to visit the Gorges de l'Aveyron. For a week or more than a month, the region is large enough not to be bored. Many facilities are available between the service areas and the campsites, to allow you to stop at the village you want. Rentals are available in Rodez or Millau, for an exotic road trip in the heart of nature.


  • The petrifying waterfall of Caylus not to be missed if you pass around Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. It has the particularity of being very loaded with carbonate, and covers with limestone any object immersed in its waterfall. A small car park is accessible at the edge of the road near the village to get there easily.


  • There are many viewpoints in the Tarn-et-Garonne to appreciate the landscapes of the Aveyron. The view from the Corniche road, 3 km from Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, is a real sight for the eyes, while that of the Cirque of Bône, going back to Caussade, offers a magnificent view at 180° on the Gorges de l'Aveyron.
