The Tarn does not lack assets to attract visitors during the winter . Its nature is preserved and there are beautiful walks to do, between the granite mountains and its valleys. Its architectural heritage is remarkable, with its bastides and hilltop villages , around the magnificent city of Albi . It even has its “ cornucopia ” which offers it a renowned wine-growing region and gastronomy . Its rich and eventful history is told to you in the many museums of the department. Are you tempted? The Tarn was at the heart of the fight against the Cathar heresy and the “ Albigensian Crusade ” marked history and left traces in the architectural heritage of this country. In medieval bastides , fortified hilltop villages , or the majestic episcopal city of Albi , these old stones bear witness to the past.

If you like forest walks , you will find what you are looking for in the territories of the Granite Mountains and the Three Valleys , green in all seasons: the Tarn, Bonnan and Viaur valleys .
