    • The chef...
I am Anne-Lyse Chanut, the chef of the restaurant Les Magnolias where I would be delighted to welcome you and share with you my love for cooking and good products. I am 30 years old and I have been in the kitchen for 14 years. Holder of a CAP in cooking with a catering specialization as well as a Professional Cooking Certificate, I studied in a semi-gastronomic restaurant (La Balance restaurant, food and wine, in Arbois), before becoming Chef for 2 years at the Kilis restaurant in Champagny en Vanoise and for 3 years at the Auberge des Fontanettes in Pralognan la Vanoise.
Passionate about cooking and seasonal products, local as soon as possible, I have the concern for perfection and I work calmly.
By coming to the restaurant Les Magnolias, I hope to make you spend gourmet moments, rich in flavors, smells, textures and colors. Thanks to French cuisine combining generosity with the rediscovery of quality dishes, always homemade. Everything will be served by an attentive team with a sense of hospitality, friendliness and humor.
      See you soon.

This place is an absolute gem – the cycling routes are scenic, the building itself is incredible (and very historic), but the stand out experience was really the dinner by Chef Chris Mathias on the restaurant patio. Using all local ingredients, this meal really showcased the best of contemporary French cooking, and was the foodie highlight of our 2-week visit to France!

We spent 10 days at Les Magnolias on the summer 2021. We had a great time! Claudia and all her staff made sure we had a nice time and gave us plenty of useful tips to do in the region with our two toddlers. The breakfast and the pool were great and the kids had a great time, we will definetly come back!

Can not say enough great things about this hotel, the staff and the facility. Claudia, Chrissy, David and Lisel were all attentive to our every need. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the beautiful Plaisance area. The hotel also does very well planned bike trips through beautiful French countryside and villages. Made for a great week in Southern France
