  I attended the New Year's Eve dinner at the casino restaurant, and what a disappointment! From the start, the room was freezing cold; some people were even keeping their coats on. When it was time for aperitifs, the drinks arrived, but not the appetizers (they were still behind the bar). There was no announcement from management, but I saw people at the nearest tables rushing to the appetizer buffet. Unfortunately for my friends and me, we were far away. By the time we got to the buffet with our plates, we were already out of options; the charcuterie platters were empty. And of course, they weren't replenished. The show began... And then, my dismay grew as the sketches unfolded, some of them vulgar, completely inappropriate for a New Year's Eve party where children and older people were present. I'll spare you the details of the crudeness in the second sketch. We weren't at the local community center 😡. Then there was this song by this woman, proud to be from the 93rd district, talking about her clitoris and vagina, shaking her backside in front of children and elderly people, clearly not ready to see that. We weren't at a cabaret, nor a café-theater. We were also treated to a striptease; this blonde ended up with her bare buttocks and breasts exposed. A completely inappropriate show. The staff struggled to clear the loaded plates from the appetizers onto all the tables. I knew we were going to have to do it for them. Then we had the main course, a piece of capon with risotto. We saw cheese platters placed on the buffet, and still no announcement from management. First come, first served. Then the fireworks, launched from the parking lot above the customers' parked cars. I'll admit, one nice moment in this disappointing evening. Then we went back inside for a glass of champagne 🍾, oops, we waited for that too without seeing anything arrive, followed by dessert, or rather a plate of whipped cream with a slice of kiwi. We were supposed to have a DJ, but it turned out to be the "Champagne Cabaret" troupe, who had just horrified us with their sketches. (One of the comedians stood out and entertained us during his time on stage). In short, I'd heard great things about this restaurant, but I think the chef was on vacation, the waiters seemed lost, there was no organization whatsoever... and the show was on par with a local community center performance. Paying €100 for that... It's highway robbery

  Hope springs eternal... The restaurant is beautiful, the food is good, and we received a very warm welcome from the manager.
