We arrived and not only were we welcomed with our dog, but the guy at the entrance moved us to a warmer spot. Then a young woman who spoke Spanish served us, making the experience even better; she was very attentive. The food was delicious, served at just the right time, with generous portions, and the wine was a delight! Highly recommended, without a doubt.

Passing through Albi, the best place is very cozy and friendly. The cocktails are very good, though a bit pricey (€14). We ordered a Milanese veal cutlet, a truffle croque monsieur, AND—this is where things got tricky—a bowl of fries. These fries (supposedly fresh and made that very morning) tasted like they'd been fried a week ago. I pointed this out to the waiter, who came back with the same name but slightly warmer. Result: same taste! We didn't eat them. The waiter reported this to the manager, who told us he'd never received any complaints about their fries! As a result, he charged us for them anyway, even though we didn't eat them! So basically, the customer lies, and they don't care what they think! That's why I'm writing this review. It's not about the €5 for the bowl of fries, but about the principle of charging us for them! Taking the risk of a mixed review for a €1 order of fries? That's not what I call being business-minded. Anyway, I'm a business owner and I know this all too well. What a shame.
