    • Estaing is a real gem, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Nestled in the north of Aveyron, at the foot of the Monts d'Aubrac and in the Lot Valley, this medieval village offers an enchanting setting and a turbulent history.


      Why visit Estaing?

      Its majestic castle

      Dominating the village, the Château d'Estaing is an unmissable historical monument. Property of the former President of the Republic Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, it bears witness to the importance of this family in regional history. Guided tours will allow you to learn more about its architecture and its past.


      Its Gothic bridge

      Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this bridge is a masterpiece of medieval architecture. It was once used as a passage for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela taking the Via Podiensis.


      Its medieval village

      The cobbled streets, the stone houses, the Saint-Fleuret church... Everything combines to immerse the visitor in an atmosphere of yesteryear.

    We received excellent service from the employee on September 4th. She even offered to leave our backpacks so we could walk around the town comfortably, since our accommodation (Chez Cornelia) wouldn't open until 4:30 p.m.
