Crossing the Mazamet footbridge

Gain some altitude in the Arnette Valley. The Mazamet Footbridge is a suspended pedestrian bridge linking the village of Hautpoul to the town of Mazamet. It is 140 meters long and 70 meters high.


How do I get there?

  • From Hautpoul : walk for 1 kilometer (approximately 30 minutes to reach the footbridge). The path is well marked and easy to follow for the whole family.
  • From Mazamet : the trail is a little longer (2.5 km — 1 hour on foot). Be aware that the path is steeper than the previous one, but it offers spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Discover the Gaillac vineyards

Nestled in the heart of the Tarn region, the Gaillac vineyard is one of the oldest in France. The land extends over more than 9000 hectares along the banks of the Tarn river.

Sports enthusiasts, the Tarn region is waiting for you! Not a hiker? No problem! To reach the Arifat waterfall, the path is accessible to all levels and takes place on a trail of approximately 3 kilometers with a small elevation gain (200 meters at most).

Start from the village of Arifat, where you can easily park. The hike takes place within a lush forest in the Tarn Valley, offering magnificent views. After 2 to 3 hours of walking, the Arifat waterfalls plunge before your eyes in three successive pools with a total height of 80 meters.
