Lake Laouzas Nature Reserves in Nages

Lake Laouzas is an artificial lake, on the Vèbre, in the heart of the Lacaune Mountains, south of the Tarn. A discovery trail criss-crosses the surroundings of the lakes and leads you to its EDF dam. It is dotted with 6 information points. They allow you to understand the impact of the construction of the dam on the valley, but also its importance in terms of hydroelectric energy. This building is an exceptional construction, with a double vault, which deserves your attention and offers you an extraordinary panorama of the surrounding mountain landscapes.

If you are on vacation and looking to relax with your family, Lake Laouzas is a very nice summer destination. During the summer, an aquatic leisure center and a nautical center are installed there. Parents will be able to relax on a beautiful grassy and shaded beach, with a breathtaking view of the Monts Lacaune. Everything is provided to entertain the children: playground, paddling pool and supervised swimming. For older children, there are several sports fields. And to bring the whole family together, picnic areas, furnished with tables, barbecues, campfire area… are at your disposal.
