La Ferme de Calvignac, a pork cutting and processing workshop where everything is done on site in Tarn-et-Garonne
" From the Earth to the Plate " perfectly describes the work carried out by Jean-Christophe and Sébastien on their pig farm in Saint-Vincent-d'Autéjac, on the hillside of Bas Quercy. Passionate about their work, they are committed to offering you quality products all year round by mastering the entire production process from breeding to processing. Pork, yes, but good pork ! Enjoy!
A 100% local farm near Montauban
The Grillat family has been operating in Tarn-et-Garonne for 5 generations, breeder-finisher farmers who love their profession and master their production from "La Terre à l'Assiette". While the pigs are born on site, they are also fed with cereals from the farm, which produces up to 1,000 tons of wheat, barley, corn, etc. per year. Healthy, high-quality, GMO-free food supplemented by cereals produced in the commune of Saint-Vincent. In 2000, the Ferme de Calvignac expanded its business with a cutting and processing workshop that meets European standards to cut, cook, and market the pigs raised on site, giving you the opportunity to enjoy melt-in-the-mouth meat at any time of year. You can order your favorite products to pick up at the farm, but also visit the farm by appointment to discover all the secrets of the breeder-finisher profession.
High-quality products to enjoy without moderation
In the pig, everything is good, and it is not Jean-Christophe or Sébastien who will contradict you! With the desire to raise quality pigs, they turn to the Porc-Montagne slaughterhouse near Rodez to lead their pigs which then return to their workshops. The fine cutting and the stages of transformation before tasting take place in their workshop near the farm to obtain fresh meats and tender and fragrant cured meats made with natural casings, without added water, without coloring, without flavor enhancers or sodium erythorbate. The flagship product of the Ferme de Calvignac is the white ham from slow and moist cooking without nitrite with an inimitable taste for the taste buds. Want to treat yourself? Find all the ranges at the farm, in supermarkets or in producers' stores:
- Meats and cuts such as filet mignon, ribs, roasts, sausages, etc.
- Processed products such as candied ears, cooked feet, ham hocks, pâtés, black puddings, cooked ham, etc.
- Cured meats such as chorizo, coppa, rosette, dry sausage, etc.
Enjoy all year round, the Farm is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Happiness is in the meadow at the Ferme de Calvignac.
