    • A delicious break at Regina, the coffee shop with vintage and international touches

If you're looking for a cozy retreat for an afternoon break, the Regina tea room is the place to be in Castres. A true crossroads of cultures, this establishment attracts an international clientele drawn to its bucolic setting and uniquely styled vintage bar. More than just a café, it's a space where time stands still, whether you're seated amidst the plants on the terrace or in the comfort of its tastefully decorated interior.

The art of organic coffee and a selection of exceptional teas

Regina stands out for its rare commitment to organic coffee, offering deep, ethically sourced aromas that set it apart from the usual standards. Lovers of comforting beverages will be delighted by a menu of 25 teas, infusions, and verbenas, served in the vintage cups for which the establishment is renowned. From the smooth cappuccino to the latte, each drink is an invitation to relaxation.

For those craving something refreshing, the establishment also offers vitamin-packed smoothies and bubble teas, which are very popular with both children and adults.

Handcrafted sweets and cellar delights at any time

Regina 's greatest strength is extending the culinary experience throughout the day. Even when the restaurant kitchen is closed, the full range of homemade desserts remains available to accompany your break. Indulge in a soft crepe, a crispy waffle, or a handcrafted ice cream sundae.

For those who prefer the flavors of the late afternoon, the wine list and cellar are available, as is a wide selection of cocktails and aperitifs. A hybrid living space, accessible to all, where conviviality reigns at all hours of the day.

We came as a family on Friday late afternoon. I wanted to order prosecco, but they didn't have any. However, my father was able to get a limoncello spritz (a recipe that calls for prosecco), but his cocktail was awful, and of course, you could taste the limoncello more than anything else. Since they didn't have any prosecco, I wonder what they put in it; it wasn't sparkling at all. At 9 euros a cocktail, it's highway robbery. We won't be going back, not to mention the nonchalance of the waiters, some of whom didn't even speak French.

We came as a group of four on July 14th… and the fireworks were ultimately a disappointment. The cocktails were served in plastic cups, without ice: we wondered if it was some kind of impromptu picnic. As for the food, the portions were so small we thought we'd ordered the "tasting menu for sparrows." Given the prices, we expected to leave satisfied, not to have to make a detour to eat churros on the way out. A word of advice: before raising prices, start by increasing the portions… and invest in some ice. That would be a significant improvement. As for the service, well, it's clear no one is in the business; they're just wasting their time.

We were a family of five. The duck breast was exceptional, and the chicken breast and Caesar salad were very good. The service was friendly and efficient. The experience was a great one for us.
