    • Le Buron du Couderc, authentic local produce on your plate

Just minutes from the village of Aubrac and the famous town of Laguiole, the Buron du Couderc rises to an altitude of 1,300 meters, a true emblem of Aveyron's heritage. This former shepherd's hut, transformed into an essential stop in Northern Aveyron, invites travelers to discover the region's gastronomy through the eyes of a passionate family of farmers. The immersion is complete: the farm's cows graze all around, a reminder of the agricultural roots of this family-run buron.

A haven of serenity and simplicity for the whole family

The Buron du Couderc is first and foremost a place to pause and reconnect with what truly matters. Here, conviviality is a daily reality. The welcome is simple, making each visit a moment of absolute relaxation. Whether you enjoy the panoramic terrace or the provided sun loungers, the tranquility of the Aubrac plateau offers a peaceful escape. It's the ideal place for families, but also a prime spot for landscape photographers.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the immediate proximity of hiking trails and mountain biking routes allows them to explore the wilderness before relaxing with a snack or an aperitif. This versatility makes the buron a vibrant place to stay, equally suited to a break between hikes or a tailor-made family or professional event in a verdant setting.

The excellence of short supply chains in Northern Aveyron

At Buron du Couderc, gastronomy is authentic. As farmers, the owners cultivate a deep connection to the land, which translates into a rigorous selection of products. Here, the menu showcases neighboring farms and artisans from the Laguiole region, guaranteeing absolute freshness and impeccable traceability. Each dish served is an immersion in local traditions, culminating in the iconic aligot. The flavors of yesteryear are savored in a welcoming atmosphere, where the pleasure of the table blends with the wild beauty of the landscape. Enjoying these dishes while watching the farm's cows graze peacefully just a few meters away adds a unique sensory dimension to your meal. It's more than just lunch or dinner; it's direct support for mountain agriculture.

By choosing this restaurant, you'll experience an unpretentious yet exceptionally high- quality dining experience, where the warm welcome perfectly complements the excellent cuisine. It's this strong identity, a blend of Aveyron pride and a spirit of sharing, that transforms every stop at Le Couderc into an unforgettable memory for travelers crossing the plateau.

We had a wonderful time at Le Buron du Couderc. The welcome was very pleasant. The dishes were generous, authentic, and delicious. Everything is homemade, and the charcuterie reminded me of the meats from my childhood. The aligot was fantastic, as was the beef; in short, everything was excellent! I highly recommend it, and we will gladly return as soon as we are back in this beautiful region.
