A heritage of textile know-how

Born from Myriam Joly's passion for natural fibers, Atelier Missegle began in the 1980s with the breeding of Angora goats. Over the decades, the company has grown, incorporating knitting and the manufacture of its own products. Based in Burlats, Missegle is today one of the last workshops in France to master precious artisanal techniques, such as the hand-knitting of its socks. This unique process guarantees items without annoying seams for unparalleled comfort and remarkable durability. Atelier Missegle has been certified as a Living Heritage Company (EPV) since 2016.

Exceptional natural fibers

Missegle's signature lies in its rigorous selection of high-quality natural fibers. Soft and airy mohair, fine and insulating merino wool , enveloping yak down or even organic cotton and organic Scottish thread, each material is chosen for its unique properties and its respectful origin. The Workshop favors short circuits : it collaborates with local companies (spinning mills, finishers, dyers, etc.) and European spinning mills for complete traceability and transparency.

The commitment to responsible production

Beyond the quality of its products, Missegle is committed to more responsible work. The workshop implements an eco-design approach at every stage of manufacturing, from producing its own electricity using photovoltaic panels to recycling defective products. The company also campaigns to preserve local employment and promote the skills of its 55 employees. Atelier Missegle allows its customers to enter its world for an immersive experience at the Atelier boutique, open Monday to Saturday. You can discover the latest collections of socks, sweaters, vests and accessories made from natural fibers.

In addition, guided tours of the Workshop are also available upon reservation, in order to delve into the heart of the know-how and observe the transformation of the threads into finished products.
