A legacy of textile expertise

Born from Myriam Joly's passion for natural fibers, Atelier Missegle began in the 1980s with the raising of Angora goats. Over the decades, the company has grown, incorporating knitting and the production of its own products. Based in Burlats, Missegle is now one of the last workshops in France to master precious artisanal techniques, such as the hand- linking of its socks. This unique process guarantees seamless garments for unparalleled comfort and remarkable durability. Atelier Missegle has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label since 2016.

Exceptional natural fibers

Missegle's signature lies in its rigorous selection of high-quality natural fibers. Soft and airy mohair, fine and insulating merino wool, enveloping yak down, and organic cotton and organic Scottish yarn —each material is chosen for its unique properties and ethical sourcing. The workshop prioritizes short supply chains, collaborating with local businesses (spinning mills, finishers, dyers, etc.) and European mills to ensure complete traceability and transparency.

Beyond the quality of its products, Missegle is committed to more responsible practices. The workshop implements an eco-design approach at every stage of manufacturing, from producing its own electricity using photovoltaic panels to recycling defective products. The company also actively works to preserve local jobs and value the skills of its 55 employees.
