About

  • English
    • The Aveyron Valley forms a set of territories which extends over three departments. You can admire these impressive Aveyron Gorges between Bruniquel, in the Tarn-et-Garonne, and as far as Villefranche-de-Rouergue, in the Aveyron, via the Tarn.

The Aveyron Valley is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes. During your walks, you will pass from plateaus, beaten by the winds, to wooded areas, from the banks of the Aveyron to the highest rocky escarpments. Some hikes sometimes take you on small paths on the side of the cliff, with very significant elevation changes. They are aimed at good walkers and it is better to find out beforehand about the difficulties of the route. However, they offer you spectacular views, which are well worth the climb.

Many other activities await you in this wild valley: canyoning, rafting, canoeing, climbing…, but also simple moments of family relaxation, in an exceptional setting. It is an ideal playground for nature lovers.

It is also a land of legend and ancestral customs. You will visit picturesque villages, perched on the cliffs or nestled in the valley. The region is very popular with visitors, as it has a fabulous historical, cultural and architectural heritage... Above all, don't forget to take a trip to Belcastel. You will need a little courage, because this village, built on a mountainous reinforcement, could put your legs to the test! A guided tour will make you discover the small local heritage: the forge, the castle, the bridge, the church, the Roc d'Anglars, the old bread oven...
