    • The Angel Gardens, one of the most beautiful floral and botanical parks in the Tarn

The beauty of this garden surpasses all that one can imagine with its multiple flowery spaces, its hundred-year-old trees and its plants from the four corners of the world. A whole ecosystem cleverly arranged which offers you a nature walk at the foot of the Montagne Noire. In the heart of this luxuriant and poetic vegetation, the Château de Verdalle in river stone accentuates the elegance of this timeless place, a jewel of the past surrounded by the magnificent Jardins de l'Ange (between Castres and Mazamet, in the middle of the Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne triangle).

Whether you are alone, with your partner, with friends, or with your family, it doesn't matter; you will be immersed in a world created as much to amaze you as to soothe you. You will follow in the footsteps of the Angel through the many colorful and fragrant gardens of this magnificent botanical park. An invitation conducive to exploration as well as contemplation, filled with playful and relaxing spaces.

From wonder to the awakening of the senses

The Jardins de l'Ange offers a series of magnificent themed gardens, bringing together 420 rose species and more than 4,000 species of trees, plants and flowers ... From an English garden to a Zen garden, a Mediterranean garden and others, the change of scenery is surprising and sometimes striking. The seasons renew the paintings of a nature in perpetual transformation - colors and scents skillfully take over to offer an infinite palette to be discovered by our senses. Treading the grass and rose petals with bare feet or immersing yourself in the sound bath of the large carillon becomes the essential experience of this garden like no other. A garden that is much more than a garden according to visitors...

      When art marries mother nature

Artistic gems and decorations thoughtfully scattered throughout the gardens bring a joyful and inspiring breath of fresh air to visitors. The gardens' creator offers us an ode to Life and inevitably touches the souls of visitors with her poetry; her Flower of Light is a testament to this. Throughout the gardens, you will also discover works by ceramic artist Martine Cassar, whose finesse and originality will surprise you.

      Preserved biodiversity

Nature and environmental protection are a priority here. The ponds and small marsh are home to fish, including the famous koi carp, and attract many endemic species—frogs, dragonflies, water snakes, lizards, and salamanders—all revel in such a paradise. Goats, turtles, and doves perfectly complete this magnificent living picture.

Spaces designed to relax or recharge your batteries

Numerous benches dotted throughout the gardens invite you to relax away from the daily grind or read in the shade of the ancient trees. Contemplating, refocusing, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet is essential for everyone's health.

Feel free to bring your picnic to enjoy lunch in the shade of the "Medieval Table", a little nod to a journey through time... A magnificent shaded terrace also allows you to enjoy a cold drink, a hot drink and a treat after an unforgettable stroll through the Jardins de l'ange. Your children will happily enjoy the space designed for them.

      The little extra

Every Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., the owner opens the castle's private chapel and invites visitors who wish to do so to a time of silent meditation and prayer under the light of candles and magnificent stained-glass windows.

Info : Events, conferences and workshops are organized throughout the year, such as the famous Rose Festival in May.
