    • The House of Wood and Toys, a unique museum in France in Mazamet

Immerse yourself in a green and wooded natural setting just 500m from the Mazamet footbridge, and discover the marvelous Maison du Bois et du Jouet . In the heart of the Montagne Noire, this museum invites you to experience an unforgettable adventure from the forest to the tree, from the tree to the wood and from the wood to the toy. In a group, with family, after an excursion on the Himalayan footbridge of Mazamet or to bring your teams together for a team-building outing, the Maison du Bois et du Jouet is the perfect place to learn, understand, play and have fun.

An interactive and fun visit loved by young and old alike

With family, friends or even colleagues, what a pleasure to follow the elves of the Montagne Noire ! In the middle of a magical setting of woods and forests, animals and mythological beings, follow the path from the forest to the toy, sometimes awakening childhood memories or nostalgia for toys of yesteryear: the oldest piece dates from the 18th century.

      • A tree-staircase leads to the discovery of the fauna and flora of this incredible natural site, as well as a unique collection of naturalized birds that inhabit the mountain.
      • Further on, discover wood, a noble and warm material which is transformed under the skillful hands of artists and artisans.
      • At the foot of the stairs (or the slide for children), you enter the secret cave where the elves are busy making magnificent wooden toys displayed by continent.
      • The shopping street that extends the visit is magical between the world of the circus, the fortified castles, the puppets and the incredible collection of furnished and occupied dollhouses.
      • The tour ends in the giant games room where everyone has fun playing Chinese checkers, billiards, cheese with holes, giant pick-up sticks, pass-boules, bowling or pucks!

Don't forget to stop by the shop, it's full of gems like games, decorations, jewelry, pencil cases... 100% French creations made by around thirty artisans.
