In the heart of the Tarn valley, on the riverbank in Comprégnac, Katalpa is a haven of peace surrounded by nature where young and old come to recharge their batteries.

Here, there's no asphalt or concrete in sight. A wooded, shaded, and verdant site, a large private beach, unspoiled nature, a friendly atmosphere, and a warm welcome await you. The emerald waters of the Tarn River flow just a few meters from the pitches. You can relax there, swim in the Tarn from the small, shaded beach. The river's coolness, the birdsong, the foliage filtering the light: Katalpa delivers what few campsites can still promise—a true connection with nature.

Located 50 meters from the river, in a nature park with direct beach access, the campsite is a true natural haven: peaceful, family-friendly, and perfect for nature lovers. Canoes are available free of charge for guests, and on-site rentals allow you to paddle down the Tarn at your own pace, exploring an inaccessible and still wild valley: the Raspes.

In the commune of one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France

Katalpa is more than just a riverside retreat. It's located in the commune of Comprégnac, which has included the hamlet of Peyre since 1830. Peyre, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, is nestled against the Causse Rouge cliffs on the right bank of the Tarn River, seven kilometers upstream from the town of Comprégnac. Perched on its tufa cliff, Peyre offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Millau Viaduct. Along the way, you'll discover troglodytic houses clinging to the rock face, cobbled lanes, and a semi-troglodytic church opening onto a spectacular panorama of the Tarn. A timeless village, accessible by canoe from the river.

Dominating this entire landscape, just 12 km away, is the Millau Viaduct —the gigantic viaduct connects the Causse du Larzac plateau and spans the Tarn valley three kilometers upstream from Peyre. From the Peyre cliff, the village offers a unique viewpoint: the Millau Viaduct, the Tarn Gorges, and the Grands Causses.

Starting points for hiking and cycling/mountain biking trails, country roads, limestone plateaus, trail running paths, markets, and local produce. In the morning, a bread and pastry delivery service. And in the evening, the river, the stars, and the silence of the heart of the Aveyron region.

A new way to sleep under the stars: Tiny Houses

Katalpa now offers a new and unique accommodation option: fully equipped Tiny Houses nestled in the heart of nature. Each unit features a kitchenette with cooking utensils, a small refrigerator, and two bedrooms with double beds, ensuring real comfort in a pristine setting. Toilets and showers are shared with the campsite. Linens and cleaning are included.

Starting at €100 per night for two people (+ €20 per additional person), Tiny Houses offer an alternative for those who want to experience the outdoors without sacrificing a minimum of comfort — all on the banks of the Tarn.
