The Carladez Nature Reserves in Mur-de-Barrez

The Carladez is a mountain area of the Massif Central straddling Aveyron and Cantal. You can enter it from Mur-de-Barrez, in the north of Aveyron. This natural space offers a majestic setting for your family outings and Aveyron hikes. You will admire a breathtaking view of the Gorges de la Truyère, the Monts de l'Aubrac and the Cantal Volcanoes. Along the Truyère, you will come across many dams, with water reservoirs. Whether on the lakes or in the river, the Carladez is an ideal site for practicing all kinds of aquatic activities.

To find out, the Tourist Office references no less than 23 hiking or mountain biking in the Carladez. We recommend the Sentier de l'Imaginaire. There are several funny iron sculptures, representing fantastic animals. It is a magical place to share extraordinary moments, especially with children.
