    • Welcome to one of the most beautiful villages in France! Lauzerte is located in Quercy, 15 km north of Moissac. Bastide set on top of a hill, it enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding countryside.

Stroll through the narrow streets, passing by the small Place des Cornières (small, for a bastide!), admire the 13th century houses, and the many white stone buildings in the region. Continue to the esplanade to see the beautiful view! You will also see the small chapel of the hospice, which welcomed pilgrims from Compostela. The Saint-Barthélemy church, at the very top of the town, welcomes you with its square bell tower. The Capuchin Monastery has been extremely well renovated. It houses the legend of Father Calixte, who appears in the form of a golden glow every year at midnight on Christmas Eve.

Lauzerte is located on via Podiensis, like Moissac, which is the next town.
