Island of Nègrepelisse Nature Reserves in Nègrepelisse

The island of Nègrepelisse is a natural area, on the banks of the Aveyron, not far from Montauban. This island of greenery has been classified as a “Sensitive Natural Area” to preserve its specific fauna and flora. The protected area is not accessible, however a beautiful park on the south bank has been laid out in an unusual way by designers. An astonishing picnic area is thus at your disposal.

A discovery trail winds through the arboretum. It is dotted with signs that inform you about the specificities of this environment and show you the most interesting specimens in the park. It is a site conducive to relaxation, where you can rest in the shade of century-old trees, while the children play on the beautiful, well-kept lawns.
