    • Castle Lacroux is a family property located on the hillsides of the Gaillac appellation and offers quality wines certified organic.

      Lacroux is:

      • A family of authentic, passionate and committed artisans.
      • A know-how for eleven generations which is constantly being renewed.
      • A complete range of quality wines with the BIO label.
      • A beautiful panorama, with land reminiscent of Tuscany.

Since 1615, the Derrieux family has been working the land of the commune as sharecroppers. Eleven generations have succeeded each other with the common desire to perpetuate the know-how by developing the estate in a sustainable way for future generations. Guillaume was the first established grower and owner in Lacroux between 1800 and 1850. After the 2nd World War, Pierre directs the property towards the cultivation of native grape varieties. 1982 Jean and Xavier his sons join him to create quality bottles. Bruno joined them in 2000 for the commercial development of the estate. 2016, the 11th generation appeared with François, son of Jean and Pierre-Laurent, son of Philippe to promote the environment , the terroir and its wines. Today Bruno, Jean, Pierre-Laurent and François pool their skills while respecting the history of the estate and their roots . The love of the land, rigor, the requirement of a job well done, organic farming methods are the values that drive them.

Beautiful picturesque setting and traditional stone buildings. Warm welcome and helpful host. 11 generations of the same family have managed this vineyard. Delicious wines - had to buy a couple. Very scenic walk through the vinyard. Visit recommended.
